KAPOW - Inquiry Model Display

We are going to have lots of fun in Inquiry this year, using the KAPOW Inquiry model.

To stir your inquiring mind, here are ten facts about a very famous person.  Add your answer with your name as a comment and copy and paste the details of 3 different websites that confirm your answer.


  1. He was born in 1564
  2. His previous jobs included serving an apprenticeship with a butcher.
  3. He formed an actor's company called the Chamberlain's Men.
  4. He became a shareholder in the Globe Theatre in London, England.
  5. He died on his 52nd birthday in 1616
  6. In 1582 he married a farmer's daughter called Anne Hathaway.  
  7. He is quoted as saying "what time hath scanted men in hair, he hath given them in wit"
  8. Some people believe that his plays were written by someone else, possible Sir Francis Bacon or the Earl of Southampton.
  9. He owned a house in Stratford-upon-Avon called 'New Place'.
  10. He wrote 38 plays, including 'Macbeth' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'.

Setting up the classroom

This week, Mrs Bradshaw has been busy setting up the classroom.  Arranging students desks, displaying novels, organising wall displays, formatting a class blog and tweeting on the class twitter account (@MrsPBradshaw).

It's a work in progress....
At the start of term we will need to come up with a class name using the number two, so get your thinking hats on, add any ideas to the comments below, a class discussion will commence after Waitangi Day.
